To create a ‘more holistic and unified learning experience,’ the Canadian universities in Egypt are collaborating with the global learning technology provider D2L (Desire2Learn). Also, the Canadian universities’ international branches will be hosting the University of Prince Edward Island and Ryerson University in The New Administrative Capital, which is 35 kilometres east of Cairo, and utilizing D2L Brightspace as its learning platform.

Mohamad Fathy, director of Information and Technology at the University of Canada, said that “they needed a robust, flexible, and efficient system which can support all the stakeholders of the institutions, and it is a seamless integration and an essential part of that, but the previous solutions were insufficient in this area.”

He also added, “the Brightspace unified with University of Canada’s Student Information System, to enable the IT team which will bring all the required tools to support all learners at one place.”
