Enjoyment all of the activities and events that International Education Week at St. Thomas University (STU) has to offer is encouraged and open to the entire STU community!

Get to know international students, discover more about global opportunities, discover and engage with diverse cultures, and much more.

The Office of Experiential Learning and Career Development at STU, the International Students’ Association, the Students’ Union, and the International Office have all planned events.

The schedule for International Education Week is listed below.

The Wall of Flags Ceremony will be changed on Wednesday, November 15, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the cafeteria of Sir James Dunn Hall.

According to STU, the nations of its current international students are updated annually on Sir James Dunn Hall’s Wall of Flags. It’s a significant occasion where it honours the contributions that both new and returning international students bring to its multicultural campus!

The Global Connections Challenge is then held in the cafeteria of Sir James Dunn Hall from 4:00 to 5:30p.m.

Students can participate in STUSU and STUISA’s International Education Week activities to earn points, win prizes, and network with people from many cultural backgrounds. Every student is invited.

In the Global Connections Challenge, students from Canada and other countries have five minutes to discover what they have in common. Each student will switch tables when the allotted five minutes have passed. The student who has the most points gets a $50 Sobeys gift card! Each of the three items the student shares in common earns one point.

Discover the World, Discover Yourself: A Student Panel Discussion will take place at Sir James Dunn Hall Dawn Russell Student Lounge on Thursday, November 16 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Students interested in taking part in an international experience while attending STU are invited to this session. This student panel will provide with insights from actual STU students who have travelled overseas, allowing you to understand more about the various avenues to pursue one of these worthwhile experiences.

STUISA Food Fest will take place in the cafeteria of Sir James Dunn Hall at 6:00 p.m.

Discover the world via cuisine, right here on campus! Come to this must-attend event to sample cuisine from our very own international students’ home countries!
