In the growth of society, law is crucial. Law exists in social, political, and economic spheres. Law determines what is good and evil, desirable and unattractive, and right and wrong. Helping the poor and needy who have experienced injustice makes a profession in law an attractive option for intellectual exercise. The legal system provides an opportunity to develop and change the socio-economic political system of society. Those who have been subjected to unfair treatment by the system have a voice, thanks to the law.
Sinhgad Law College was founded in 2003 with the goal of fostering the best legal brains in the nation and ensuring understanding and adherence to the legal system. In order to foster the intellectual development and personality development of the students raised to become the nation’s legal luminaries, the vision was to offer the highest quality legal education with the best professors and facilities at affordable pricing.
It has had exponential growth ever since it was founded. In 2003, the college began offering BSL LLB and LLB courses. Currently, the college offers two graduation programmes: a one-year BA LLB programme and a three-year LLB programme. The college also offers three diploma programmes: a diploma in taxation laws, a diploma in labour laws and welfare, and a certificate programme in forensic science and medical law. At present, the qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty and well-equipped library are the special features of the college. In addition, the college has a well-equipped auditorium, moot court hall, LCD projector fitted in every classroom, computer laboratory, Wi-Fi facility, and free medical services are made available on the campus itself.

Due to the rapid growth in demand, the college was quickly moved to the Sinhgad Institute’s main campus in Ambegaon, Pune. The college now has more than a thousand students enrolled for the current academic year.

Its mission is to produce, conserve, and share knowledge in order to build a thriving society.
Selection on Merit Basis
Earlier, there was no entrance examination for the admission of students. Students were casual about their degrees, and a lot of drop-outs were there, and the performance of the students was not up to the mark. As they were not admitted on the basis of their aptitude. This was the biggest challenge for the college until the introduction of entrance examinations for the admission of students. The introduction of the CET entrance examination by the Maharashtra government in the academic year 2016-17 overcame this challenge. Students selected on merit are dedicated to the study of law and pursuing a career in law.
Best in State
Sinhgad Law College has multiple achievements by both students and faculty, including many university toppers and rank holders. Besides academics, there have been remarkable achievements in the field of sports and cultural activities too.
The college has been recognized as one of the best law colleges in Maharashtra. The fee-regulating authority of the Government of Maharashtra has approved the highest fee structure after recognizing the status of the college. The team states, “We could achieve this by the constant motivation and support of Top Management of Sinhgad Technical Education Society, Honourable Founder President Prof M.N. Navale Sir, Honourable Founder Secretary Madam Dr (Mrs) Sunanada M. Navale, Vice-President (Admin) Mrs Rachana Navale Ashtekar and Vice-President (HR) Mr Rohit M. Navale and the dedicated, qualified and experienced staff of the college.”

Education on a Global Scale
According to the faculty at Sinhgad Law College, being well-read and updated on regional, national, and international events is just as crucial for students’ understanding as having solid legal knowledge, persuasive communication skills, and business acumen—all of which are prerequisites for success. They ought to cultivate a work ethic in their job by treating clients fairly and applying their minds and hearts to it. By using their legal expertise, lawyers should be able to influence societal change for the better, improving the quality of life for all citizens who uphold the law.
Sinhgad Law College aims to make its students world-class and the most sought-after legal professionals by initiating the attitude to question, discuss, argue, convince, and learn all the time how their learning of the law and their contribution can make not only their society but also the world a better place.
