A “global nomad” who has worked and studied at multiple universities in various countries, Dr. Schmidt holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University and has a track record of leadership in international education and experience.

He succeeds Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim as President of AURAK, following Al Alkim’s distinguished decade-long tenure at the university.
