The Australian International Education Conference (AIEC), in collaboration with IDP Education and the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA), is hosting leaders in international education in Adelaide from October 10 to October 13. The theme of the conference is “International education: visionary and transformative.”

The event will bring together influential figures from government, industry, and NGOs, including ministers, vice-chancellors, and CEOs. The program will cover various topics such as market insights, best practices, research, technology, new learning and teaching models, government policies, and industry trends.

Discussions will also focus on topical issues like artificial intelligence, the future of international student markets, and the cost-of-living crisis in the context of international education. Education is Australia’s fourth-largest export, with exports peaking at A$42.31 billion in 2019. For the January to July 2023 period, there were 710,893 international students enrolled in Australian courses, an increase of 34% compared to the same period last year.

The conference aims to reflect on building a sustainable future for the industry and promote the importance and benefits of international education. AIEC 2023 has a lineup of influential speakers, including ministers, CEOs, and experts in various fields, addressing the theme of the event and providing insights into the future of international education.

Topics covered will include employability, English language, marketing, vocational education and training, and more. The conference serves as a platform for collaboration and discussion to drive advancements and support the ongoing growth of the international education sector in Australia.
