Uzbekistan Partners with Kyrgyzstan to Organize Conference on Higher Education Development

According to UzA, approximately 60 rectors from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as senior officials from Ministries and agencies, are attending a conference on the development of higher education and science in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, which is being led by Kyrgyz Minister of Education and Science Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kongratebay Sharipov, and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science, Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva, both stated that bilateral relations are improving significantly as a result of the two countries’ aggressive foreign policies.
Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva expressed optimism that collaborative efforts will result in new breakthroughs and successes in higher education and science.

As part of the teacher exchange program, approximately 100 Kyrgyz university specialists work at the National University of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University, Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andijan Machine-Building Institute, Urgench State University, Bukhara State Medical Institute, and Navoi State University of Mining and Technology.

One of the primary aims of education, according to conference attendees, is to ensure the consistent development of a system for educating highly skilled workers.

It is planned to sign memorandums of understanding, agreements, and roadmaps for the exchange of teaching staff and students, as well as the collaborative organizing of educational processes, and to adopt resolutions of the Second Forum of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan University Rectors.
