On the opening day of the annual conference in Newcastle on 15th June 2022, the UKCISA launched the UK’s first-ever International Student Charter, as the country is the home for many international students.
The representatives integrated and gaged from 85 UK higher educational institutions, their support for providing a world-class student experience by meeting the expectations of the foreign applicant pre-arrival to their graduations.
The UK has launched the campaign #WeAreInternational to build the success of the charter with five key principles, which are written by a team of student ambassadors who shared their views on what kind of international student experience should look like.
The UKCISA facilitated the conversation among students and stakeholders’ industry-wide, ensuring the students’ full range of needs and perceptions were reflected in the final documents.
The country is also providing additional concessions that are requested for all students studying online from different time zones.
