Highgrove Education Launches Global Online School Offering British Education

Highgrove Education

Highgrove Education, a global provider of online school services, has announced the official launch of its flagship institution, Highgrove Online School, for the 2024/2025 academic year. The school aims to deliver a high-quality British education to students worldwide, offering both GCSE and A-level courses. Founded by Heather Rhodes, former Principal of Harrow School Online, Highgrove is positioned to attract ambitious students seeking an exceptional academic experience delivered entirely online.

The teaching team at Highgrove Online School boasts a strong record of academic success, exemplified by its outstanding A-level results for 2024. Courses are delivered using a flipped learning model, where students study independently and attend two scheduled lessons per week per subject. This approach has yielded impressive outcomes: 50% of students achieved A* grades, 75% earned A* or A, and 88% scored A* to B, significantly surpassing the UK national average of 9.3%. The flipped learning model allows students to progress at their own pace, with personalized support from teachers through one-on-one sessions.

In addition to its core academic offerings, Highgrove provides a rich extracurricular program that includes a wide range of elective courses. These courses, designed to enhance students’ skills and support university applications, cover diverse topics such as Investment, AI Literacy, Music Technology, Emotional Intelligence, and Digital Photography. Highgrove also offers bespoke one-to-one support, and students are integrated into a tutor group, house system, and student-led clubs and societies.

Heather Rhodes, Founder and Principal of Highgrove Education, expressed her enthusiasm for the launch: “It has been a pleasure to welcome pupils from around the world to Highgrove Online School. I set out to prove that an independent school education delivered online could match the academic results and university outcomes of traditional schools.” She highlighted that over 50% of students in 2024 achieved A* grades, with many heading to prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and Berkeley.

Rhodes also emphasized the flexibility and affordability of Highgrove’s online model, noting that students from across the globe, from America to Asia, have joined the school’s first cohort. With a talented teaching team and a world-leading selection of elective courses, Highgrove Education is committed to providing top-tier education to students, regardless of their location.
