From July 30 to August 1, 2024, in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Department of State will host the 2024 EducationUSA Forum in support of the government’s commitment to worldwide education. In order to strengthen collaboration and relationships between current and future leaders in various fields, the U.S. government has affirmed its commitment to robust exchanges of students, researchers, scholars, and educators. This year, the Forum commemorates the third anniversary of the Joint State of Principles in Support of International Education.

About 500 higher education professionals from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as international EducationUSA specialists and representatives of both domestic and foreign governments, come together at the Forum. Along with alumni of the Department’s Community College Administrators Program, representatives from the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. National Science Foundation, U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, and U.S. Department of State are taking part in expert panels. This offers U.S. higher education representatives a rare chance to interact with international experts in vocational-technical education and workforce development.

This year is EducationUSA’s 25th anniversary. EducationUSA is a global network of over 430 educational advising centers run by the U.S. Department of State. Prospective international students, foreign governments, and educational institutions in more than 175 nations and territories can obtain up-to-date, precise, and comprehensive information about the U.S. higher education system via EducationUSA centers. Today, there are over a million international students studying in the United States as a result of EducationUSA’s 25 years of stimulating and responding to student interest in American higher education abroad.
