A highly respected professional in the field of transportation and infrastructure, Brown succeeds her previous roles as the Board’s first vice-chair and second vice-chair. Additionally, she has contributed as chair of the Board’s Human Resources Committee and as a member of several other key committees.

In her new position, Brown expressed her enthusiasm for working collaboratively with the Board and the university’s leadership team. She emphasized her commitment to helping the University navigate current challenges and to guide it towards a sustainable and thriving future. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the executive leadership team in this new capacity,” she said.

Brown brings to the role over two decades of experience in transportation, particularly in public-private partnership arrangements. Her career has been marked by a focus on cross-border operations, collaborating with senior officials from both Canada and the United States. She has played a pivotal role in the delivery of major infrastructure projects and has demonstrated a keen ability to engage stakeholders effectively.

A strategic leader, Brown has held significant executive positions including CEO of Windsor International Airport, CEO of the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel Corporation, and executive vice-president of American Roads LLC. Currently, she serves as the Chief Operations Officer for the Gordie Howe International Bridge Corporation.

UWindsor President Robert Gordon expressed his confidence in Brown’s leadership, citing her extensive experience in both industry and corporate governance as key assets for the Board. Brown is also well-versed in community leadership, having previously chaired the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce and Lakeview Montessori School. A proud UWindsor alumna, Brown holds a Master of Arts in Political Science (1984) and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (1982) from the university. A lifelong resident of Windsor-Essex, she remains deeply committed to the region.
