On Friday, March 8, Eastern Oregon University’s (EOU) College of Education held a fruitful career lecture and job fair in Loso Hall. The occasion offered professional development opportunities and introduced students to prospective careers in education.
A Q&A session on teacher contracts, resume and cover letter writing techniques, the connection between social media safety and school safety, and interview advice were among the educational talks offered at the Career Seminar and Job Fair. District representatives were in attendance to interact with children from different schools throughout Oregon.
Hermiston School District, Stanfield School District, Pine Eagle School District, La Grande School District, Pendleton School District, Klamath County School District, and Milton-Freewater School District were among the notable speakers at the function. Several districts conducted live interviews on-site as the event came to an end.
“We are pleased with the outcome of this year’s Career Seminar and Job Fair,” said Dr. Rae Ette Newman, Interim Dean of the College of Education at EOU. “It provided valuable networking and learning opportunities for our students.”For more information about EOU and its College of Education, please visit https://www.eou.edu/college-of-education/.
