In order to help with the cost of tuition for undergraduate degree programmes starting in the fall of 2024, the University of Sheffield is providing 75 competitive international undergraduate merit scholarships, each worth £10,000 annually.

Interested students may apply on the official website, sheffield.ac.uk. Applications for the scholarship will be accepted beginning in late autumn 2023 and must be submitted by April 22, 2024, at 1 pm. On May 15, 2024, the scholarship recipients will be made public.

The eligibility requirements specify…

The applicant’s course of study must be set to begin in the University of Sheffield’s autumn of 2024. An offer for a course that must be completed entirely at the University of Sheffield must be given to applicants. All courses are acceptable for undergraduate degrees, except A200 and A100/A101 for dentistry and medicine, respectively.

Applicants must be able to pay the overseas tuition fee on their own and be self-funded for the purpose of tuition.

  • They are not permitted to be sponsored students.
  • The Applicants must enrol in either programme year 1 or year 2 of the University of Sheffield’s degree programme.

All March programmes are not eligible for this or any other undergraduate scholarship because they are regarded as postgraduate taught programmes for scholarship purposes. It is important for applicants to keep in mind that this scholarship can only be applied as a tuition fee discount; there is no cash equivalent.

Candidates must submit examples of their accomplishments that demonstrate excellence and initiative in extracurricular, volunteer, or educational settings in order to be considered for a shortlist. Furthermore, the candidate must clarify how these achievements connect to the University of Sheffield course for which they are applying and how it fits with their long-term objectives. Additionally, the candidate needs to have a solid academic background.
