China announced plans to issue visas to the Indian students stranded at home due to strict Covid restrictions in Beijing, on Monday. It has also announced various categories of travel permits for the same.

Ji Rong, Counsellor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China in her tweet congrats and welcomes the Indian students back to China who were not able to continue studies due to the pandemic. Her tweet cited the announcement of the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi.

According to the announcement, X1-Visa will be issued to students intending to pursue long-term studies in China and the students who have been stranded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The list of several students has been submitted by India to China to seek the names of students wanting to return and resume their studies immediately.
